Forsyth Tech will be accepting applications for the 2019 6th and 7th Grade Girls GenCyber Camp from July 15-19 is here! Please click this link to register.

Applications will close by June 23th at midnight and the students accepted will be contacted by July 3rd. An email will be sent to those accepted containing a “Pre-Camp Survey” to be completed promptly. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — It’s an unusual summer camp experience.

Instead of soaking up the sun, local girls learned how to become ethical hackers.

“You had to learn how to uncrack a code and the code lets you unlock a briefcase,” camp attendee Saniya Dodd said.

For one week, Forsyth Technical Community College offers a Girls GenCyber Robotics/Cybersecurity camp.

On November 13 and 26, 2018, the Girl Scout Brownie Troop from Winston-Salem NC learned how to create and code their own robots using Kamigami Robots. The camp featured the programming and security of robots, designing a robot from scratch and finally building and showcasing robots on the second night.
